Garrett Design works with clients from design concept through installation and maintenance.
Initial Meeting
A designer will visit you on site to learn about your goals for your property. Common needs include increasing curb appeal, fixing a drainage issue, creating a patio area with fire pit, etc. Pictures and notes will be taken as we discuss the scope of the project. A copy of your property survey will help make the process go smoothly. Often, a formal landscape plan is not necessary, as a sketch will do. This saves time and money.
This meeting is a chance to for you to decide if you want to move ahead in hiring Garrett Design. Ask questions, discuss ideas--get to know us! After the initial free site visit, we will follow up with a design contract. Payment of the design fee officially begins our working relationship and begins the process of designing your project.
Concept Design & Review
Once we commit to working together, a conceptual drawing will be emailed to you to approve the direction of the design. This is informal and focused on how you will functionally use the space.
Design & Approval
A final plan with detailed specifications on plant materials, hard scape, and all costs specific to the installation will then be presented.
Installation & Quality Control
Our professional crews install according to best industry practices. A crew leader is on-site throughout this process to ensure quality control and react to any issues that may arise. Garrett Design is a licensed contractor in both OP and RF and fully insured. Our crews are easy to work with and you will have text access to your crew leader throughout the process.
Maintenance*
A garden is only as good as the care it is given. We offer weekly, monthly and annual maintenance and fine pruning for your new or existing garden. Our maintenance program includes weeding, edging, pruning, spring and fall cleanup, and winter plant protection. We also offer seasonal rotations for planters.
*Garrett Design does not provide residential lawn mowing service, but I work closely with another company to offer this service, if needed.
